Maria Face

Disclaimer #1: I apologize for the brevity of this blog entry; this week, it is unrealistic to expect myself to be able to write more.
Disclaimer #2: The content of this blog entry is a little bit on the gross side. I apologize for that too.

While getting ready one morning this weekend, I glanced at my face in the mirror--as I often do, and suddenly something occurred to me: calling people with sever acne "crater face" is scientifically inaccurate. In fact, a more suitable nickname would be "maria face". Lunar maria are the dark patches on the moon, which were created when an impact to the surface of the moon penetrated through the first layer, and lava from under-ground lava rivers seeped through, changing the color of the surface. I'll let you do the rest of the explaining in your head . So, in closing, do not make fun of people with skin issues, (It hurts. I know this, from personal experience.) but if you do, then call them "maria face", not "crater face"; it takes the edge off, and it's more scientifically correct.
